1970
The Ministry of Agriculture of the USSR, together with the Ministry of Foreign Trade of the USSR, decided to hold an auction for horses in the south of the USSR at the Tersk Stud. From that time on, auctions were held annually until 1986, and were later moved to the Netherlands, where they continued under the Tersk-Kossack Sale brand until 2004.
1972
The first conference of WAHO (World Arabian Horse Breeders Organization) was held in Seville (Spain), at which the constitution of the organization was adopted. 22 countries took part in the conference, including the Soviet Union. The delegation included representatives of our stud.
1973
The Tersk Stud was awarded the “Red Challenge Banner” for the first time for high performance in the Socialist competition. Later, the “Banner” was repeatedly given to the Stud.
1976
Persik became the French champion in endurance riding, later becoming a cult producer of world-class endurance horses
1978
Thanks to the Soviet Stud Book of Arabian Thoroughbred Horses, as well as the efforts of colleagues from other countries, the horses of our country were included in the WAHO and recognized by the whole world. Arabian horses from the Tersk Stud became an enviable trophy for foreign breeders.
1979
By the end of the 1970s, the name of stallion Neron appeared on the eventing tracks of Europe. He became the German Champion in eventing and a member of the German Olympic team. Stallion Tropik under the saddle of Vitaly Dorofeev also became the champion of the USSR in eventing.
